Car Modifications and your Auto Insurance

Like discussed previously, modifications to your new car that enhances or makes it more customized tends to have some form of implication on your warranty and insurance. One way around this is to get the car fixed or upgraded right after you leave the dealer then get insurance or simply inform them of anything done to the car so they have ample knowledge of such. Some may require a re-evaluation of the vehicle with adjustments made to the overall value of your car and insurance cover and some may not require anything at all. Be sure to have some record of you informing them so any oversight by them you can counter with enough proof that would tell them you did your part at informing them.
Most auto insurance policies include the accessories as part of the overall assessment thus the overall insurable value of your vehicle. Any accessories that improves or changes the evaluated value may not be covered by your policy so be sure to take the necessary steps to avoid having to argue with the provider in the future with ample communication.
