New Laws Tax Heavy on Car Owners
The rising incidents of accidents involving uninsured drivers has prompted insurance companies to lobby for rate increases to cover for huge losses they are having to shoulder. The faltering US economy isn;t helping and only drags their ability to recover with it. These providers have won petitions to increase rates to those who can afford them which surprised policy owners due to a revised clause that they are to pay extra for accidents involving uninsured drivers.
Much is the problem with uninsured drivers that nothing can be done to alleviate the taxing rates on consumers. Moves by some to freeze rates is proving ineffective for a huge majority of the companies still declined due to mounting losses as accidents continue to happen. With autos it seems, accidents are not a question of if but more of when it will happen. Some people who did not get insurance due to such safe driving habits faced huge debt when they do get into accidents right after they rescinded their policies.
